"Os Mutantes!" squeals Leah with glee.

i enjoy wireless internet. i enjoy entertaining thoughts of the near future when wiredless net will be everywhere on mountaintops.

i leave for CHICAGO in a week. woot! i miss you leah and richard and britus. today is a day off again. i am going to go skate in late afternoon, and then i will bake cookies with kate and eric tonight. assuming they aren't fighting. arguing.

two men just sat down next to me. they got some hummus and they came up on bicycles and one of the has a metal pole for most of his right leg. but the bike riding looks like is goes fine. oh yes... i got my bike fixed two days ago. i have been enjoying it muchly. last night i and eric went on a drinking, then campus trekking, adventure in the sprinkling atmosphere of the summer air. he almost got hit by a car because he didn't slow down, assuming the motorist would stop for sure.

my 60 year old vietnam war veteran/roommate, ron, is doing alright. he says if it wasn't for me he wouldn't be alive right now. high praise. he feels this way because once, a while back, i said i wouldn't loan him money so he could buy more liquor. his liver failed soon after that; but he survived, though he says he was resigned to kicking the bucket. he's still on his pills for his many ailments. he forgets things, and repeats things. i guess i got a new roommate a couple days ago, though i haven't seen or met her yet. i hope she understands how to live with ron around. it's easy enough. you just gotta know when to zone out or not. he talks in circles. he talks in a circular manner. he always says things like, "i love ya kid" and "you're like a son to me." and "thank you" over and over again. he has a son somewhere.

i went to clear creek by winslow last sunday and jumped off rocks into deep, dark water. sage and kindred and cord and willow and jerry were there along with a few others. cord made a mexican remark and i scolded him. he was shocked that i had differing ideals than him. fucking ridiculous. him and kindred are so old now, like 15. i was just fifteen a bit ago.

there have not been any girls around in my heart that way lately.

the weather again has been nice to hot to rain (nice) to overcast nice to hot again. i think i'm gonna get some hummus pita.
i really like ghost door by the crayon resist and am looking forward to clutching their hot new album in my hand when i get to chicago. i will listen to it (now with the songs in the appropriate order) on my flight back to AZ. and i truly cannot wait to eat at sultan's market. i'm salivating. it is unfortunate that i will not have my bicycle with my while i'm there.

be seeing people soon.
