Stomach-sized Eyes and Other

i just cooked food for 3 to 4 people - when i was the only one eating. i was really hungry so i started heating up a couple of baked potatoes. while that was happening i was thinking about what could go with it. so i put some vegan snausage into a pan. i then remembered i had some leftover rice. while heating the snausage and rice and potatoes up, i cut up some onion and tomato, thinking i needed some more vegetable content. then i realized that i had some spicy salsa i needed to use. so naturally i pieced these items into a donkey (a burro) with one of dad's complete protein tortillas. but it ended up being enough for about THREE fat donkeys (3 burritos) and i still had those other two potatoes that i began with. to make a long story over, i now have an after-work snack for tomorrow.

i registered/signed up for classes today.
three classes.

the first one being personal health: this class will [supposedly] cover "nutrition, emotional health and stress, physical fitness, human sexuality, communicable and degenerative diseases, and drugs from a wellness perspective." hopefully it'll be informative.

the second class: is women's studies. this class will "survey and critically analyze the position of women in society, in terms of present realities and future possibilites. Provides a framework to connect personal experience with contemporary social and political issues."

the above two for sure, and i am on the waiting list for the third..
the third class being: creative writing (fiction). i am second on the waiting list for this one, so cast some spells at me.

right now there is a half-moon a few hundred-thousand miles outside my bedroom window. i can see it.

aubrey taught me how to play drums the other day. i can now play a few simple beats in a variety of ways and speeds. i like it; it is a lot of fun. i'm hoping i'll be able to use my roommate beren's drum set in the basement. she says i can, but it isn't exactly there all the time.

i'm going to listen the the the other side of this johnny cash record i recently bought. the lp is called bitter tears. it is pretty good. it's subject matter deals almost entirely with how native americans kept/keep getting lied to and betrayed by early (and current) u.s. policies.
and i guess canada too, it is really frustrating and terrible to think about.

anyway,
molly had a birthday yesterday. she turned a quarter century. me and her and dan and travis made breakfast b's at 2:30 in the afternoon. hence the festivatilities of drinking and smoking began. it was a really fun day. krysta came back from an interview that went well. cory got off work.
and later in the afternoon molly got a phone call from this guy, telling her that they had gotten the house they had looked at a few days previously. everybody was ecstatic. they finally have a place to live next month! good moods running high throughout the day, throughout the night. brandon and ava and john and carrie and mara and geneva were all hanging out for a while too. and downstairs freddy wasn't alone on his porch like usual; he was hanging out with a girl named shannon, but people call her "shine on."
Mike's coot dog, mary jane, was running around with that disgusting ball in her mouth, wagging her tail. i even threw the ball up in the air for her in the parking lot a number of times.

while i was typing this, i got a phone call from this guy i recently bought a little old stereo receiver from, at his record shop. when i brought it home it didn't work for some reason. he's just informed me that it has died for some reason. there was a bigger, nicer receiver at the record store too. it was ten dollars more and he's just informed me that i could either have my mula back, or i can take that other receiver. so it now looks like i finally have a decent receiver to boot!

thanks Spr for posting those purdy shots of brian.
