Happy Birthday, It's Thanksgiving.
Spring and I enjoyed the first harvest of my little garden for lunch today. Lettuce! we put it on our dank tofu sandwiches.
Here is a photo of spring from a few days ago. I have titled it, "Internet-Pasta for Breakfast."
i just got back from the garden where you all came and helped weed all those days ago. i watered for awhile, and SCORED a bounty. In like flint.
snow peas, green beans, collards, tomatoes the size of small melons,
i got the smallest cucumber there was.
cherry tomatoes mixed in with some strawberries.
note the green back of my tongue. i ate a lot in between moving the hoses around.
montage
i was gonna BLG in more detail, but i forgot.
oh wait, yeah, now i remember..
oh week or so ago the neighbors on my street threw their annual "block party." i met some more of my neighbors, ate many different kinds of pasta salad, and drew on the street with chalk.
this old man here, in the jeans and a hat, talked about the Vietnam war a lot - which he was unfortunately in.
this here is the finished product of what i chalked upon the street..
view from the roof.
some of the little childrens chalked with me for a bit, but they eventually turned on me.
at first, once they were bored with drawing on the ground, the kids started to just run up to me and draw on me with the chalk sticks; but then, emboldened by my lack of retaliation, they began to come up at me with the chalk eraser and smear erased chalk on me as well.
the name of the neighborhood i live in is called "Piedmont." (if you look closely you can see that logo in the photograph below.)
