The Dentist

I thought this interesting when i saw spring's painting "rosy-pink window bars."

i just now finally took the picture because i just got my new canon "powershot 630" off the internet. i should be posting more pictures now. woo.

i went up to show low on monday for my dentist appointment. turns out that what i thought looked like a cavity in one of my back teeth, was really just a stain. which worked out wonderfully considering that this was the first time i had to pay the dentist bill myself. dadda and i went to amelia's garden before the dentist and afterwards we went to Dr. Adams' office and he payed for the cleaning, which was kind of him. so it only cost 33 dollars for the stain removal and filler after the cleaning. i then went to a couple of thrift stores before i almost got in an accident. then my car broke down. the hose/tube that connects the coolant to the radiator had a big gash in it. from age i guess. luckily that happened in lakeside so dad came and helped me out. it would have been awful if it had happened on the way back to holbrook or flagstaff or something. incidentally, my good friend matt duthie got in a crazy car accident that same day. he and rene were in the car but luckily neither of them were injured seriously.

i was planning on returning to flagstaff that same monday night, but i called up kai and decided to hang out with her for the evening since i don't see her enough. her and ra and i watched some of "stop making sense" the talking heads movie. then i wrote down the rest of the lyrics to, and played, "walk away renee" for ra, who digs that song. his guitar is a very well-handling old fender. kai and i ate ice cream and listened to music in her room for a while before bed.

the next day i went to the rest of the thrift stores that i hadn't been permitted to go to the day before. i found a pair of pants and a shirt. i didn't see any signs indicating that st. vincent de paul will rebuild or relocate. the skeleton of the burned building is still there, with the "st. vincent's" sign still up next to it, clean and new looking.

i hit up high in the pines before saying bye to dads and heading back to flagstaff before my piano class at 430. i also hit up the goodwill in winslow, where i found a pair of pants and two shirts.
